Everee has to know who signs for the company, who controls it, and who owns it. These are three roles that can be the same person, and each one is verified.
- The signer signs the agreements in the embedded experience. Their
relationshipsays whether they are a control person, a beneficial owner, or neither. - The control person is the individual with significant responsibility to manage the company, such as its CEO. Exactly one is required.
- Beneficial owners are individuals or entities that own 25% or more of the company.
| Endpoint | Use it to |
|---|---|
| Retrieve the signer, Set the signer | Read or set who signs. |
| Retrieve the control person, Set the control person | Read or set who controls the company. |
| Declare ownership | Say whether anyone else owns 25% or more. |
| List, add, update, delete beneficial owners | Manage the other owners. |
| Correct a person's contact details | Fix a phone number or email, even after signing. |
| Resend an identity verification link | Send a person their verification link again. |
After you submit the company, Everee verifies each person's identity. You can follow progress in the status response and with identity verification webhook events.
For examples, see The people in the collecting-information guide, and Identity verification.
