Tax Classifications

The value of the returned field taxClassification will be one of the entries in the table below, corresponding to the tax classification options listed in section 3a of the federal Form W-9.

Similarly, the value of the returned field llcTaxClassification may be one of the entries in the table below, corresponding to the tax classification options listed in section 3a under the "LLC" option. This field may be blank.

Note that the structure of the returned data is slightly different depending on which fields have been filled out by the taxpayer. Note the two different example responses.
