Agreeing to Terms

How your customers agree to pricing and service terms, directly with Everee or under your own subscription agreement.

Every company agrees to pricing and service terms before it can use Everee. Everee sets one of two ways for your partner account, and it is the same for all your companies. Ask your Everee representative which applies to you. Get agreement consent shows it as mode.

modeHow the customer agreesWhat you do
DIRECTThe customer signs Everee's Subscription Agreement in the signing experience, along with the other agreements.Nothing extra.
UMBRELLAThe customer agrees to pricing and service terms under your own subscription agreement, which you manage with Everee outside the API.Report each customer's consent, as described below.

Under your agreement (UMBRELLA)

Pricing for your companies comes from the rate card Everee keeps for your partner account, so you do not send prices. What Everee needs from you is a record that the customer consented to your agreement.

1. Report the consent. Call Report agreement consent when the customer has consented, or send the same object as agreementConsent when you create the company.

curl -X PUT https://api.everee.com/integration/v1/partner/companies/$ID/agreement-consent \
  -u "$KEY:" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
    "consentedAt": "2026-10-01T15:30:00Z",
    "method": "CLICKWRAP",
    "evidenceReference": "order-8841",
    "attestation": true
  }'
  • method is how the customer consented: CLICKWRAP (accepted on a screen), E_SIGNATURE, WRITTEN or OTHER.
  • evidenceReference says where you keep the proof. You can also upload a copy. Neither is required, but you must be able to produce the proof: Everee reviews a sample of consents and may ask for it.
  • attestation: true confirms that the customer consented to your agreement and that you hold the proof. Without it the request is rejected.

2. The consenting person is the signer. The consent is recorded for the company's signer, who signs everything else. If you set the signer afterwards, the consent is attached to them. A corrected email or title for the same person keeps the consent. A different person invalidates it, and you must report it again.

3. Check the status. Until the consent is in, AGREEMENT_CONSENT is in readiness.missing, and Everee does not request the signature. The status response also shows agreement.mode and agreement.consentRecorded.

4. The signer still signs Everee's authorizations. Your agreement covers pricing and service terms only. The signer signs the ACH Debit Authorization (which authorizes Everee to debit the company's funding bank account) and IRS Form 8655 in the signing experience, and chooses the funding bank account there. The Subscription Agreement is not part of the signature.

If Everee rejects a consent

When Everee reviews a consent and rejects it, it no longer counts: agreement.consentRecorded becomes false and AGREEMENT_CONSENT returns to readiness.missing. Report a new consent, with better evidence if that was the problem.

Changes

You can report consent while the company is a DRAFT and the agreements are unsigned, like other company information. Reporting again replaces the earlier report. Get agreement consent always shows the current one.
